How-to: Post-lockdown Back to the Office Makeup Look

How To: Office Makeup LookMost of us have spent the last few months quarantined at home with our communication being strictly restricted to Teams and zoom, and virtual get-togethers. I must say it wasn’t that bad. After all, who doesn’t enjoy lounging (and by this, I mean working my ass off) around in your day pyjamas, braless and without an ounce of your usual office makeup look? And while doing this, we (I) had no plans to dress up for anything. I practically had day and night pyjamas, and makeup-wise a DIY moisturizer did the trick.

But alas, all that is slowly coming to an end with the world gradually opening up (I don’t know if the situation is the same where you are). This means that working from the office has resumed, and it’s time to look and feel your best again (just in case working from home made you feel less than your usual self, depending on who you were quarantined with).

And you know what else is resuming? Staycations (more of that later). Who doesn’t love staycations, which means getting that curvetted tan (I’m already tan enough, so this is a no for me)? Therefore, ladies, if you fit in the above categories, it’s time to know how to master a gorgeous and fresh back to the office makeup look when you are tanned.

Office Makeup Look After-quarantine

Start off with a primer

How To: Office Makeup LookBegin by a squeeze of a primer. We’re loving the Prime & Fine Anti-Red primer, which spreads easily, moisturizes has a nourishing texture and offers a pleasant wearing comfort, also on delicate tanned skin. As its name suggests, it is also known for its skin-soothing effect and helps calm redness.

Lips are also important

When you’re on the beach all day, you’re being subjected to constant sun rays, which may cause some dryness on your skin and lips. This Hemp & Mint Glow lip balm can do wonders. First, with its menthol ingredient, it leaves your lips looking fuller and the hemp oil will nourish them at the same time. The lip balm intensifies the natural colour of the lips depending on the pH value of the lip skin and tints it in individual pink shade for a perfect office makeup look. Let’s not forget the fresh mint taste as well!

Who doesn’t love mascara?

You all know the undeniable effect of mascara. It opens up your eyes, adds some depth and also fully completes a look. It’s like the cherry on top of any vanilla office makeup look. After curling your lashes, add one stroke of mascara only for a more natural effect and try to add more towards the end of the eyes than the beginning – it’s a hack that makes your look even more effortless. Go for a mascara that offers instant volume to your lashes and is extremely easy to use – especially in early mornings before rushing out.

Monochrome eyeshadow

This step is optional – but can give you a fresh look especially if you’ve managed to tan your skin. The use of a monochrome eyeshadow look goes a long way in creating the illusion of a rosy, healthy and prepped-up face. Who knew a touch of pink or nude on your eyelids can make all the difference? For this look, we are loving Dry Rose & Smart Beige eyeshadow palettes from Catrice – where you can create a matte and pearly daytime office makeup look that will last beyond those after-work drinks.
