What Gives CoolSculpting Rave Reviews?

CoolSculpting: Why This Method of Fat Freezing is TrendingDiet and exercise are some of the most common and guaranteed ways of reaching your body goals if you have any. But what happens when these surefire ways of fat reduction don’t work anymore and you’re left with some bulges of excess and stubborn body fat in different areas of your body? You feel like your ideal body is almost at reach, but regardless of how much effort you put into dieting or changing up your workout routine, nothing seems to work. For some of us, giving up is not an option; but what else is there to do? Well, I came across a fat freezing aesthetic procedure known as CoolSculpting, which promises to get rid of stubborn body fat. And the cool part about it, apart from its freezing nature, is that it’s non-surgical.

Instead of going right in and trying out the procedure (which I promise to do and tell you all about it), I asked one of my go-to consultant plastic surgeons, Dr. Rory McGoldrick, to weigh in on this CoolSculpting fat freezing treatment.

According to Dr. McGoldrick, CoolSculpting is one of the most straight forward fat-reducing and body sculpting aesthetic procedures available in the market today. “This non-surgical fat-reduction procedure works by fat freezing stubborn body fat through controlled cooling, and eliminating it through the lymphatic system,” he explains, adding that even though men and women tend to show fat in different areas of the body, CoolSculpting works for both of them.

Why CoolSculpting is Trending

Dr. McGoldrick, who is an expert in body contouring among other cosmetic and reconstructive procedures, shares a few reasons why more than 7 million people worldwide have opted to go the fat freezing way with CoolSculpting when it comes to getting rid of stubborn body fat.

1.     Fat Freezing is Non-Surgical

CoolSculpting, according to Dr. McGoldrick, is non-surgical, which means the patient doesn’t require any general anesthetic to put him/her to sleep. Basically, it’s quite a comfortable fat-reduction treatment to have, and the cold used in the procedure targets fat cells without damaging the skin.

2.     It’s Great For Getting Rid of Resistant Body Fat

Fat freezing with CoolSculpting is considered one of the best for resistant and stubborn pockets of fat that do not respond to diet or exercise. The procedure delivers precise and controlled cooling to gently and effectively target the fat cells underneath the skin. The treated fat cells are crystallized (frozen), after which they die. Over time, the body naturally processes the fat and eliminates these dead cells, leaving a more contoured silhouette.

3.     It’s a Lunchtime Procedure

This fat freezing treatment, explains Dr. McGoldrick, is one of the most efficient lunch-time procedures, especially when it comes to body contouring. “Anybody who does CoolSculpting can easily go back to his or her daily activities, or simply straight back to work, since the downtime is quite minimal.”

4.     CoolSculpting Leaves Zero Scarring

Considering it’s non-invasive unlike good old liposuction, whereby no incisions are made, your skin is left intact. “During liposuction, the plastic surgeon has to make incisions on the target area to physically suction out the unwanted body fat, while during this fat freezing procedure the submental fat cells are frozen and killed, then naturally eliminated from the body in the weeks following the treatment.”

5.     It’s Affordable

CoolSculpting, compared to other body fat-reduction treatments like liposuction, costs a fraction of the price per session. “Although some people might see results after only one session of fat freezing, the maximum sessions that one can do for realistic results would be only 3 spread over 2 – 3 weeks,” states Dr. McGoldrick.

Something Worth Noting

It is important to note that CoolSculpting is not a weight loss treatment. “This fat freezing procedure simply kills resistant pockets of fat found in different areas of the body. It is best used to contour the body after losing a certain amount of weight loss.”
