Ultherapy treatment: Is it Hollywood's Hottest Beauty Secret?

Ultherapy: Hollywood’s Hottest Beauty Secret?

Ultherapy treatment - Hollywood's Hottest Beauty SecretUltherapy treatment, which has come to be known as Hollywood’s beauty secret, is a non-invasive anti-aging treatment that reverses any signs of aging you might have. Actually what it does is lift your face up, without any nipping or tucking.

A friend of mine just had Ultherapy, and although there are no immediate changes to her face, I became curious about how this beauty treatment works. I sat down with plastic surgeon Dr. Juan and he explained to me the ins and outs of Ultherapy.

How Ultherapy Treatment Works

First of all, as Dr. Juan Krogulec – Specialist Plastic Surgeon at Dubai Cosmetic Surgery explains, Ultherapy treatment is considered more of an uplift than a facelift. The device comes with a monitor, which guides the plastic surgeon on what’s going on within the skin he is trying to tighten.

“The device known as an Ulthera system works by emitting controlled heat energy when placed on the targeted area. This heat penetrates the skin, encouraging the production of new collagen and elastin, and the result is a more firm and tight skin.”

According to Dr. Juan, the procedure is kind of basic, taking anywhere from 40 minutes to two hours. “The duration of the Ultherapy treatment depends on how big the area you are looking to tighten is. You can treat your brows, jowls, cheeks, chin or the chest décolleté; or just your entire face.
I asked if it’s painful and the surgeon said it depends on one’s pain threshold. “I have treated people who did not flinch at all, and others who could not handle it and I had to apply a topical anesthesia.”

Not Anyone Can Have the Treatment

So the big question is if anybody can have the treatment? “Anybody with visibly saggy skin on the face or neck areas can have it!”

The difference between Ultherapy and other facelift procedures is that Ultherapy takes between one and three months to show results – which means you’ve got to have a patience bone in you. “After the treatment, the growth of new collagen is stimulated in the deeper skin tissues, which continues over time and not overnight,” explains Dr. Juan.

It is also a lunch hour procedure which doesn’t have any downtime or scarring afterward. You can just pop in, have the Ultherapy treatment then get back to your business. The best part is that only one session is needed, with a touch-up every 18 to 24 months. “When it comes to non-invasive skin firming procedures, Ultherapy is somewhere on the top.”

Well… worth trying out

Well, would I have an Ultherapy treatment? When the time comes maybe I will go for it. That’s if there are no other skin tightening treatments that would have been introduced to the mass market, and we all know there are more in the pipeline. After all, anti-aging aesthetic technologies are always coming out, with the new one being touted as better than the last one. Let’s wait and see. In the meantime, I will continue my search for beauty wherever it might be.

I don’t know if this is a natural beauty treatment or not, but if you are into more natural skin beauty treatments, you can check out the beauty benefits of yogurt or essential beauty oils to the rescue.
