Eid Al Adha is just around the corner, and as we all know, we have to make use of those free days the UAE style. We want to take a breather, but not too far off from home, which means, the three Eid days* give us the perfect opportunity to relax at a place that’s home away from home, but still close by. And while you are taking your short breather, I can imagine you wouldn’t want to dig too deep into your pockets. This is why I’m bringing you some great Eid staycation deals straight from Hotels.com, that will allow you to enjoy your short break without worrying about that dent in your bank account.
Have you ever felt like taking a break and heading somewhere even if it’s only for a day or two? Well, I have. These staycations have a way of rejuvenating your body and mind, and the best part is that you don’t need to take any time away from work because you can have a summer staycation on a weekend.
If you are thinking of vacationing in Switzerland this summer (that’s if you’ve not made any plans yet), make sure to consider Gstaad Switzerland as your sanctuary, just for a few days, (or even weeks). Gstaad is this charming mountain destination on the Swiss Alps that walks the fine balance between tradition and modern lifestyle.
At just less than 4.5 hours away from the UAE, Maldives is one of the world’s most magical destinations. The place can just about fulfill all your vacation desires. You can choose Maldives as your hot spot for anything including a romantic escape, family holiday or a solo getaway. Sometimes it can also be a ‘first timer’ for everything. After all, one of my friends just had her first taste of champagne while trying to rediscover Maldives, but that’s our little secret because alcohol is off limits for her.
It’s beginning to smell a lot like Christmas at SensAsia Urban Spa branches with their tantalizing festive treatments. The folks over there have come up with an encapsulating menu of treatments designed for the festive season.
These festive treatments incorporate warm, traditional scents such as cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and sweet orange. And if you don’t know about SensAsia Urban Spa, well, in a nutshell they are UAE’s largest spa chain.
At 361m in length, Harmony of the Seas is longer than both the Eiffel Tower and Burj Al Arab. It spans 16 decks, weighs 227,000 tonnes and can house 5,497 guests; in short, this Royal Caribbean’s latest Oasis-Class ship, is more of a floating city than a luxury cruise liner.
Harmony of the Seas, which is not only the biggest ship in the world but also one of the most luxurious; will be making its maiden voyage this June on a western Mediterranean itinerary.
The next highlight of my stay at Voyager Beach Resort was some kind of a scary encounter – depending on how you look at it. One mid-morning we were goofing around in the pool. There was no one around, apart from the life guard who was somewhere, not sure where at that particular time. My friend was in the deep-end of the pool while I was in the shallowest end, considering I am not a good swimmer, or I can’t swim at all. I had my back to the trees. Then I heard something fall. It could have been a log or a leaf, but the sound it made when it hit the ground was just not normal at all, which is why I turned around, something I regretted the moment I did.
